KERINA LUARK, LLPC (she/her)

Kerina is a pediatric mental health clinician who has experience working with children, adolescents, and teens in a variety of settings including public schools and private practice. Kerina holds a bachelor’s degree in allied health sciences from Grand Valley State University, and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Western Michigan University.

Her therapy approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy techniques, with a growing focus on neurodiversity-affirming care. She is currently expanding her expertise through research on AutPlay Therapy, a framework designed to support the mental health needs of neurodivergent children and their families using individualized, strengths-based play therapy interventions.

Kerina brings a warm, collaborative energy to her work, and values partnering with caregivers throughout the therapeutic process. She is especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and children/families from diverse backgrounds. Her goal as a clinician is to meet each child where they are while honoring their unique experiences and identities.

In her free time, Kerina enjoys reading mystery books, doing puzzles, coloring, and trying new coffee shops. She also enjoys spending quality time with her partner and goldendoodle.
